About

Our Mission: Safe.Simple.Accurate

We research Safe areas with friendly faces
(Slow it down & Smile-Baja locals are amazing!)

We make learning GPS navigation Simple
(even a Lizard Lady could do it!)

Our routes are Accurate
(Pay attention & it's impossible to getting lost)

Volume 1 is a full encompassing guidebook allowing you to create point-to-point self-guided trips in Northern Baja. The Guide will lead you from gas-station to gas-station (including total mileage) on remote trails, avoiding ranch gates (where possible) and keeping you off private property and national parks (where you shouldn't be anyway). Each route is rated in difficulty so you can get the amount of technical terrain you want out of the ride.

There are a total of 58 Course Description charts with waypoints, mileage, and descriptions to use in conjunction with GPS navigation. When uploaded to your GPS (or entered manually), a colored route-line appears on your GPS screen also showing your moving location. If you get off course even slightly, just move back toward the route line to remain on course (it’s that safe, simple, & accurate).

There are how-to instructions for selecting the routes for your trip and we educate you on the do's & don'ts of Baja travel & culture to set you up for the best Baja experience.  Remember: What you give, is what you will get it back; it’s not hard to make friends in Baja!

You can plan different day trips, weekends, weeks, or months of off-road fun with the Baja GPS Guides, so com'on: RIDE THE GUIDE!

V1 Testimonials

A few comments from happy V1 riders since publication in 2000
We rode from Veronica to Tomas and looped through Mike's Sky Rancho & back.  Epic riding!  I can't believe the amount of time it must have taken to collect all of this.  THANK YOU!

We rode your guidebook volume 1 and really enjoyed the pine trees and terrain up north.  We were in your home town Gonzaga but just missed you.  The XR trail was an incredible challenge, but we all made it up! Met your friend in Catavina that owns the restaraunt there.  We were so tired at the end of each day we barely got 1 negra modelo down before falling on our faces, LOL.  Good times.  Appreciate your work and we enjoyed it very much.

It was an eventful trip, but the guidebook was perfect.  We got turned around in the canyon by San Felipe because I wasn't paying attention, but the route took us right back to the trail.  Flat tires and some cactus stuck to my wrist, but hell of a trip.  Thanks for putting this together.  We rode trails we had never known of before.

I read Volume 1 page to page before leaving on our trip.  It was very useful information!  I was confident in each location and the guidebook was accurate, as advertised.  The only complaint is that the trip was too short, so we are planning another trip for 10 days and to go further south this time.  This was obvious an increadible amount of time and effort put into creating this thing.  Riding the guidebook was a life changing experience for me navigating like a treasure hunt and finding all the items along the way.  The course description charts had some funny stuff, right when you needed to laugh too.  I'm forever greatful for your efforts. Thank you.

Hey you wanted some feedback but all I could think of was 'BRAVO'.  It was easy to follow and a great trip.  All 8 of us were dirty and tired and ready to go home, but we are already planning the next trip.  Thanks for making this guidebook!

We rode all the routes you suggested south of San Felipe.  Everything was accurate and lead us perfectly.  I'm impressed with the amount of work you have done to make some of these trails and rotues.  You have compiled an amzing collection and we were stoked to ride it.  Nice work and thanks!
