Your Baja Adventure Team

It all started with John Frank (Juanito, Juan or Juany); I have many aliases for him!  We took a 6-week ride on the Peninsula learning the many nooks & crannies of Baja (we all love) when his concept came into play:

His father was a pilot that flew to Baja often. In the 90's, when Global Positioning Systems began in the aviation industry, his father started using GPS to navigate the sky.  Juanito's light-bulb went off and his concept for an off-road Baja GPS Guidebook was born!

Together Juanito and Kacey (Aka: Lizard Lady) went on to introduce and teach this amazing technology to the Off-Road world.

The whole story

Bean

BEAN

Known for his Mexican jumping-bean ski addiction, the same applies in his off-road shenanigans.  He is our official drone-video junkie, mechanic, and helps create the where-to's of the guidebooks. Nobody loves beans more than the Lizard Lady!

Alan

Alan Roach

Entrepreneur of Baja Designs, tech engineer, and precision rider is among the Lizard Lady's 'best people on the planet' kind of friends. Alan brought a plethora of Baja wisdom and experiences that carved out the many guidebook tips and teachings.

Jado

JADO

Jayy-dough (Primo-de-Kc) learned to ride in 45 wipe outs and then kicked everyone's bootie, rubber side down! He is a professional camera/film-man with an eye for action. Jado has a knack for GPS navigation and tests the guidebook routes for accuracy & fun-factor.

Kev

Kevin Ward

Hardcore is an understatement when riding with Kevin! There's no nook nor cranny he won't explore. Best known for his Cinematography in Dust to Glory, Kevin is an accomplished film pro & Baja rider. Kevin helped route Coco's Legend Trail & we named "Ward" Falls in his honor.

The Rockman

Bill Nichols

He was born to ride, create, and navigate! "It can't be done" meant he had to do it... and he did. Famous for building many single track trails in Baja, Bill has been a long-term friend and mentor of the guidebooks. You will ride many of his creations when you Ride The Guides.

Ma & Pop

Linda & Jim Smith

The guidebooks are a reflection of my amazing parents. They raised me from baby to mini-bike rider on the shores of Colonet, raced with me dangling from their backs, and made roots in Gonzaga Bay where the guidebooks took sprout. Together, they created the Lizard Lady!

Terio

Walt Koch (Aka: Walt-Terio)

Didicated "months of his time" to explore, choreograph, laugh (a lot), and carve out much of the guidebook personality. He is a photographer, incredible rider, wonderful friend, and he added the fun times flavor to the guidebooks

Colin

Colin McCauley

There's no better web master for bajagpsguide.com than a guy that rides, camps, and loves the outdoors like we do. Explain an image from your mind and he creates it like he was there. Colin is our tech guru with a heart of gold!
